You will work closely with a dynamic team to maintain and enhance our systems, designed to streamline the insurance processes for agents and farmers. Our system simplifies the insurance renewal and claim process for crops damaged by hail, ensuring that users can quickly access policy information, submit claims, and track payouts—all through a user-friendly online platform.
As a Software Developer, you will help support, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end components of our applications. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, contribute to meaningful projects, and grow with a company that values innovation and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aid in the development, testing, and maintenance of web and desktop applications for Municipal Hail Insurance.
- Collaborate with others to implement new features, fix bugs, and optimize system performance.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code primarily in C#.
- Work with databases, APIs, and cloud services to enhance product functionality.
- Contribute to UI/UX improvements to ensure a seamless experience for users, such as insurance policyholders, agents, and adjusters.
- Participate in code reviews and actively seek opportunities to learn and improve your skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#.
- Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, Blazor, Angular).
- Understanding of relational databases (MS-SQL and/or Postgres).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Ability and desire to work onsite in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Any experience with Azure, Azure Dev Ops, SSRS, Silverlight, Linux, Mobil app development, spatial data, Silverlight, WinForms, hardware management and/or server administration would be an asset.
- Knowledge of insurance systems, agriculture-related software and imagery-based applications would be an asset.
